Webb Pulls in UAA Men’s Soccer Athlete of the Week Honor

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Carnegie Mellon University junior Connor Webb (Dallas, Texas/J.J. Pearce) was named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Men's Soccer Athlete of the Week for his recent performance in the Tartans' 2-1 win at Grove City College on Saturday, September 27.

Webb continued his scoring streak, which is now at six games, for the men's soccer team as he scored both goals in the Tartan win. Webb and the Tartans rallied from a goal down at the half as the junior midfielder put in the equalizer on a penalty kick in the 55th minute and later scored the game winner with six minutes to play. The goals mark Webb's sixth and seventh of the season as he now leads the UAA in goals scored and points with 16.

The Tartans stay on the road for the third consecutive week when they travel to the University of Chicago for an 11:00 a.m. CST kick off on Saturday, October 4 against the Maroons to open UAA play.
