Tartan Men’s Soccer Received 13th Straight United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award

(KANSAS CITY, Mo.) – The Carnegie Mellon University men's soccer team has been honored for its work in the classroom with the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 13th consecutive year.

The Tartans posted a 2019-20 team grade point average of 3.52. A total of 355 men's programs across the NCAA and NAIA earned the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award with a minimum GPA of 3.00. Nine Tartans earned a 4.0 GPA during the fall playing season while 22 of the 33-member squad had a 3.50 or better.

Carnegie Mellon was also one of 202 colleges and universities to have both its men's and women's teams honored.

The Tartans finished the 2019 campaign with an overall record of 7-8-1 with three wins in University Athletic Association (UAA) competition, including a season-closing 4-0 win at Case Western Reserve University.
