(KANSAS CITY, Mo.) – Carnegie Mellon University men's soccer senior Jason Edmunds has been named to the United Soccer Coaches Region VII team. Edmunds earned a spot on the third team, collecting the first all-region accolade of his career and the first for a Tartan since 2018.

Edmunds took advantage of the extra year of eligibility due to the 2020 season being canceled by COVID-19 and helped lead the Tartans back to the NCAA tournament. Edmunds closed his career as a four-year starter for the Tartan defense and played in two NCAA tournaments. His leadership on and off the field for the Tartans contributed to the team's 11-5-1 season, as the team recorded seven shutouts. An attacking outside back, Edmunds fired off 13 shots for the year, scoring one goal and assisting on another.
