Tartans Celebrate Graduating Class in Final Game of Season

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) - The Carnegie Mellon University men's soccer team hosted Case Western Reserve University in its last game of the season on Saturday, November 4. After celebrating the graduating class of nine, the Tartans fell to the Spartans by a 2-0 score. The Tartans finish the year with a 7-6-4 overall record and a 0-4-3 University Athletic Association (UAA) mark.

  • Case Western opened the scoring in the 40th minute with a goal by Matt Vatne, assisted by Kysen Kroeger.
  • Case Western then went up 2-0 against the Tartans with a goal by Sawyer Dockal, assisted by Brandon Kim and Alex Lippaitt after a corner kick served to the far post in the 49th minute of the game.
  • The Tartans had eight shots with two being on goal, one by junior Chris Lee in the 84th minute of the game and one by junior Billy Boucuvalas in the 88th minute of the game.
