Bamforth Earns Third UAA Weekly Honor

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) - Carnegie Mellon University freshman Gabriel Bamforth (Cambridge, Mass./CRLS), was honored for the third time this season by the University Athletic Association (UAA) as Men's Diving Athlete of the Week after helping the Tartans remain undefeated in dual meet action. The Tartans defeated Westminster College, 161-136, and SUNY Geneseo, 170.50-128.50, at Westminster on Saturday, January 16.
    
Bamforth won the 1-meter event with a season-best 295.85 points after six dives while he placed fourth on the 3-meter board with a season-best 270.45 points.
    
The Tartans will return to competition on Saturday, January 23 at Denison University at 1:00 p.m.
