Tarczynski Named UAA Swimmer of the Week

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) - Carnegie Mellon University junior Aleksander Tarczynski (Springfield, Va. / West Springfield) was named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Men's Swimmer of the Week for his performance in the Tartans dual meet against Washington and Lee University. The award is the first this year for Tarczynski and second for the Tartans.

Tarczynski won two events in the home dual meet on Saturday, November 13. He won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:43.89 and the 100-yard butterfly in 50.56. His 200-yard freestyle time is a season-best and is currently second best on the team.

The swimmers continue the season on Thursday, November 18 at the Kenyon College Total Performance Invitational.
