Tartans End Well at Home Diving Invitational

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon University men's diving team hosted a two-day diving invitational with five other Division III schools on Friday, November 18 and Saturday, November 19. The men competed in 11 dives on the 1-meter board on Friday and 11 dives on the 3-meter board on Saturday.

Inside The Results

  • Graduate student Jud Kyle continued his tremendous season with two second-place finishes. On the 1-meter board he scored 474.55 points and 3-meter 518.80.
  • Jud's twin brother James Kyle competed in his first full meet of the season and scored 425.25 points on the 1-meter to place third.
  • Sophomore Jonathan Lindstrom took fifth place on the 1-meter after scoring 403.05 points.
  • Senor Matthew Wagner scored 403.10 points on the 3-meter and placed 11th.
  • The Tartans also placed 12th and 13th in the 3-meter with junior Tyker Hoyt and Jonathan Lindstrom recording 391.85 and 389.30 points, respectively.

The Tartans will break for the holidays and resume action in January with a two-day meet at New York University.
