Kyle Brothers Lead Tartans at NYU Diving Invitational

(NEW YORK, N.Y.) – The Carnegie Mellon University men's diving team participated in the New York University (NYU) Invitational on Thursday, January 12 and Friday, January 13 with divers from NYU and St. Francis (N.Y.) College.

Inside The Results

  • Graduate student Jud Kyle topped the list of competitors on the 3-meter board with 540.30 points, his highest tally of the season. Jud also won the 1-meter board with a season-best 519.40 points. Both marked the second time he won each board.
  • Graduate student James Kyle placed second on both boards with 503.45 points on the 1-meter and 494.05 points on the 3-meter. It was the first time James competed on the 3-meter board this season.
  • Senior Matthew Wagner placed third on the 3-meter with a season-best 481.60 points.
  • Sophomore Tyler Hoyt placed third on the 1-meter board with a career-best tally of 445.30 points.
