Wagner Named UAA Diver of the Week

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Senior Matthew Wagner was named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Men's Diver of the Week for his performance in two meets over the weekend. Wagner's honor is the first of his career.

Wagner participated in a pair of diving events at New York University and at Denison University. He won the 1-meter board at Denison with a 6-dive score of 307.35 while placing fourth on the 3-meter with a score of 310.55. At NYU on Thursday and Friday, Wagner placed third on the 3-meter board with an 11-dive score of 481.60 and fifth on the 1-meter with a score of 441.00. All four marks were season-highs for Wagner who once again hit marks to qualify him for the NCAA Diving Regional.

Wagner and the rest of the Carnegie Mellon divers will next hit the pool on Saturday, January 21 at home against Indiana University of Pennsylvania starting at 10:00 a.m.
