Tartans Annual Diving Invitational with Hoyt Earning a First-Place Finish

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) - The Carnegie Mellon University men's diving team hosted and competed at the CMU Diving Invitational on Friday, November 17 and Saturday, November 18.

Results

  • Senior Tyler Hoyt placed first on the 3M springboard, earning 479.70 points. His top-scoring dive was 205c (back two and half somersaults tuck), earning 7.0s and 7.5s from the judges. He also placed third on the 1M, earning 419.15 points. 
  • Junior Jonathan Lindstrom placed second on the 3M springboard, earning 472.45 points. He also placed fifth on the 1M, earning 397.95 points.

Notes

  • Hoyt and Lindstrom both meet the NCAA Diving Regional qualifying standard for the 3M for the first time this season.
