(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Freshman Brayden Morford has been honored as the University Athletic Association (UAA) Men's Swimmer of the Week for his performance during the team's home quad meet with Calvin University, Denison University, and Johns Hopkins University on Saturday, January 13.

Morford was a double winner for the Tartans on Saturday with his winning performances in the 100-yard backstroke and 200-yard backstroke helping the Tartans go 2-1. Morford's 100-yard backstroke time of 49.36 just days after returning from the winter training trip met the NCAA provisional qualifying standard and set the pool record. The freshman set another pool record in the 200-yard backstroke at 1:49.28 which is a season-best time and sits him 23rd in the nation.

Morford and the swimmers and divers will next compete in the Western PA Invitational at home on Friday, January 26 and Saturday, January 27.
