Divers Compete at NCAA Regionals

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) - The Carnegie Mellon University men's diving team competed at the NCAA Region 4 Diving Championships on Friday, March 1 and Saturday, March 2. 

Top Performances:

  • Junior Johnathan Lindstrom placed eighth on the 3-meter springboard with a score of 450.80. His top-scoring dive was 205c (back 2.5 somersaults tuck) earning 6s and 6.5s from the judges for a total of 51.80 points.
  • Lindstrom also placed 10th on the 1-meter with a score of 422.50. 
  • Senior Tyler Hoyt placed 12th with a score of 423.50 on the 3-meter springboard.
  • Hoyt also placed 13th on the 1-meter with a score of 416.15.
  • Freshman Nicholas Shuster finished up his first NCAA regionals with a score of 344.60 on the 3-meter and 382.55 on the 1-meter.
