Tartans in Third After Day One at Golfweek DIII Fall Invite

(MIRAMAR BEACH, Fla) - The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team started play at the 2021 Golfweek DIII Fall Invitational held at the par 72, 5,5603-yard Baytowne Golf Club at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Miramar Beach, Florida, on Sunday. The Tartans carded a 310 Sunday and are third in the 20-team three-day, 54-hole event.

Junior Alexis Sudjianto (Charlotte, N.C./Charlotte Latin School) led the Tartans with a three-over par 75 and is tied for eighth individually out of 108 golfers. Freshman Kaylin Yeoh (Potomac, Md./Winston Churchill) sits a stroke back of Sudjianto, as she entered the clubhouse with a four-over par 76.

Freshman Reeya Vasishta (Mountain View, Calif./Mountain View) shot a 78 with classmate Sriya Mupparaju (San Diego, Calif./Del Norte) carding an 81 and senior Nadia Susanto (Irvine, Calif./Arnold O. Beckman) an 84.

The second round is set for Monday morning with tee times starting at 7:30 a.m.
