Wang Named UAA Women’s Golf Athlete of the Week

Sophomore Samantha Wang of the Carnegie Mellon University men’s golf team was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Women’s Golf Athlete of the Week following her performance in leading the Tartans to repeating as Max and Susan Stith Invitational champions which was played at The Dominion Club in Glen Allen, Virginia.

The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team, the nation’s top ranked Division III team, carded rounds of 290 and 314 at the 36-hole Max and Susan Stith Invitational hosted by Randolph–Macon College and ended the event with a team score of 604 to win the 15-team event for the second consecutive year.
Sudjianto Named UAA Women’s Golf Athlete of the Week

Graduate student Alexis Sudjianto of the Carnegie Mellon University men’s golf team was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Women’s Golf Athlete of the Week following her performance in leading the Tartans to a second place showing at the 24-team 54-hole Jekyll Island Collegiate played at King and Prince Golf Course in St. Simons Island, Georgia.
Tartans Tie School Record for Lowest Team Round and End Play at Jekyll in Second

The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team tied the school record for the lowest team round on Sunday firing a three-under par 285 ended play at the Jekyll Island Collegiate Sunday with a 54-hole score of 883 (294-304-285). The Tartans finished second in a field of 24 teams.

The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf completed play at South Georgia Invitational on Tuesday and carded a 36-hole score of 597 (306-291). The Tartans won the 19-team event, as the 36-hole, two-day event is hosted by Berry University and is being played at the Georgia Southern University Golf Course in Statesboro, Georgia which is a par 72, 5,608 -yard course.
Tartans Impress Once Again in Classroom During Fall Semester

The fall athletics season was highlighted by five team NCAA Championship appearances and eight nationally ranked winter and spring teams, while the Tartans excelled in the classroom. An impressive 163 student-athletes achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA, and 59% earned a GPA of 3.50 or higher.

The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team finished play at the Golfweek October Classic on Tuesday and fired a three-under par 285 in round three. The Tartans took second place with a six-over par 870 total (294-291-285).

The Carnegie Mellon University women’s golf team started play at the Golfweek October Classic on Sunday and carded a 294. The Tartans are currently tied for third in a field of 24 teams. The three-day event is hosted at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Destin Florida, which is a par 72 and 5611 yards.

16 Tartans Earn UAA Presidents Council Scholar-Athlete Recognition

Carnegie Mellon University had 16 student-athletes named to the 15th annual University Athletic Association (UAA) Presidents Council Scholar-Athlete Team, as announced by the league’s office on Wednesday, September 18. The 16 Tartans include three from the men’s cross country team, two each from the men’s track and field team, women’s tennis team, women’s golf team, and women’s soccer team, and one each from the women’s track and field team, men’s swimming and diving team, men’s golf team, men’s basketball team, and women’s basketball team. They join 139 other student-athletes representing all eight UAA member institutions to receive the prestigious honor.
