Tartans Place Third at Tartan Invitational

(FARMINGTON, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf completed play at The Tartan Invitational on Tuesday and carded a 294 for a 36-hole score of 600 (306-294). The Tartans finished third in a field of 12 teams. The 36-hole, two-day event is hosted by Carnegie Mellon and is being played at the Nemacolin Resort on Mystic Rock in Farmington, Pennsylvania, which is a par 72, 5,656 -yard course.

How it Happened:
- Senior Sriya Mupparaju led the Cardinal and Gray with an even par 36-hole score of 144 after carding a two-under par 70 on Tuesday. Mupparaju finished third individually in a field of 64 golfers.
- Freshman Cecilia Jia fired a round of even par 72 in round two and ended with a 150 (78-72).
- On Tuesday, graduate student Alexis Sudjianto shot her second straight round of 76 and ended with a 152.
- Freshman Emma Wong shot a 154 (78-74) for the invite.
- Sophomore Nikita Jadhav ended with a 157 (78-79).
'B' Team at Invitational:
- Sophomore Samantha Wang led the Tartans 'B' Team at the invite with a 154 (76-77).
- Senior Kaylin Yeoh carded a 157 (77-80).
- Freshman Caroline Fixter ended with a 162 (83-79).
- Junior Wenna Zhang also shot a 162 (84-78).
- Senior Sense Sangkagoon carded a 166 (82-84).
- Competing as an individual was sophomore Ashley Liu, as she fired 167 (83-84).

- Carnegie Mellon will be back on the links October 13-15 when they play in the Golfweek Fall Invitational. The three-day event is being held at the Baytowne Golf Club at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Miramar Beach, Florida.
