Second Round Play Stopped Due to Weather at Division III NCAA Women’s Golf Championship

(WILLIAMSBURG, Va.) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team completed its suspended first round and played the second round of the 2025 NCAA Division III Championship on Wednesday at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Virginia. The Tartans posted a 302 in the first round on the River Course and followed with a 303 on the Plantation Course for a 36-hole total of 605. Play was suspended shortly after they completed their second round due to inclement weather.

How it Happened:
- Freshman Cecilia Jia fired a three-over par 75 to close play in round one and then carded a one-under par 71 and has a 36-hole score of two-over par 146.
- Sophomore Samantha Wang carded a one-over par 73 in round one and followed with a 78 in round two for a 151
- Senior Sriya Mupparaju carded a three-over par 75 in round two after she shot a 77 in round one. She has a 152 through two rounds.
- Graduate student Alexis Sudjianto has a 36-hole score of 156 (77-79).
- Freshman Emma Wong has a 36-hole score of 156 (77-79).
Up Next:
- Round two will resume Thursday morning, with play beginning at 8:00 a.m. on the Plantation Course and 8:30 a.m. on the River Course. The third round will follow with a shotgun start no earlier than 12:30 p.m. on the River Course. The field will be trimmed to the top 15 teams and top six individuals not on advancing teams for the final two rounds.
