DeFazio Places First on 3-Meter Board

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – Senior diver Olivia DeFazio (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) won one event and placed second in another during the Carnegie Mellon University Diving Quad on Friday, November 18 and Saturday, November 19. Other competing teams were Allegheny College, Univesity of Rochester and Washington & Jefferson College.

DeFazio won the 3-meter event after scoring 371.60 points following 11 dives on Saturday. Friday night she placed second in the 1-meter event with 364.60 points after 11 dives. Senior Chelsea Grindle (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) also dived off the 1-meter board and recorded 257.80 points.

The two seniors will now train for spring semester meets when the team travels to Westminster College on Saturday, January 21 and have their last home meet on Saturday, January 28 against Denison University.
