2013-14
Elissa recorded four new top times during her second year as a Tartan. She finished second on the team in the 50-yard and 100-yard freestyle and the 50-yard and 100-yard backstroke. Her best times in the 50-yard backstroke (27.33), 100-yard backstroke (57.94) and the 50-yard freestyle (24.40) all came at the UAA Championships. She finished 11th overall in the 100-yard backstroke and 14th in the 100-yard freestyle to score points for the Tartans at the UAA Championships.
2012-13
In her first season swimming for the Tartans, Elissa Maercklein finished second on the team in the 50-yard backstroke and 100-yard backstroke. At the UAA Championships, she recorded her best times of 27.63 in the 50-yard backstroke and 59.05 in the 100-yard backstroke. Maercklein also finished third on the team in the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle. She recorded her best time of 24.80 in the 50-yard freestyle at the UAA Championships. At the Total Performance Invitational hosted by Kenyon College, Maercklein touched the wall at 54.59 in the 100-yard freestyle.
