Mianzo Earns UAA Diver of the Week Award

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving sophomore Maddie Mianzo (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) was named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Diving Athlete of the Week following her performance last week.

Mianzo had the high score on the 1-meter board with 289.65 points and on the 3-meter board with 285.08 points, both career bests after six dives, when the Tartans hosted Washington and Lee University on Saturday, November 10. Her scores were also NCAA qualifying marks, as she needs to meet the mark one more time to earn placement at the NCAA Regional Diving Championships.

The season continues on Friday, November 16 when the divers host a two-day invitational.
