Xu Earns Third Weekly UAA Honor

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Sophomore Savannah Xu has been honored as the University Athletic Association (UAA) Women's Swimmer of the Week for the third time this year for her performance during the team's home quad meet with Calvin University, Denison University, and Johns Hopkins University on Saturday, January 13.

Xu had the top finishes of the weekend for the Tartans as she won one event and placed second in two. Xu won the 100-yard backstroke for the fourth time in five meets this season with a time of 57.60 days after returning from the winter training trip. She followed it with a second-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke in 2:04.11 and another second-place finish in the 200-yard IM in 2:08.33.

Xu and the swimmers and divers will next compete in the Western PA Invitational at home on Friday, January 26 and Saturday, January 27.
