Arli Tilves was hired as the full-time assistant coach for the Carnegie Mellon University swimming and diving program in October 2023.

Tilves graduated from California University of Pennsylvania in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science degree in health science and completed her master’s degree in exercise science and health promotion with concentrations in performance enhancement and injury prevention and sport psychology at the same institution in 2022.

A four-year Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) qualifier, Tilves competed in the butterfly and freestyle events. She qualified for the PSAC Championships in the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle and 100 butterfly each year of her career and was a member of all five relays at various league championship meets.

After graduation, Tilves remained active with the Vulcan swimming and diving program as an assistant coach for two seasons.

Tilves’ background includes working at Blaze Sport Performance as a sport performance coach leading groups and private sessions following sport-specific progressive training programs.
