#5 Tartans Down #22 Mary Washington

(FREDERICKSBURG, Va.) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's tennis team traveled to Fredericksburg, Va. on Sunday afternoon and defeated the #22 Mary Washington Eagles 8-1. The win improves the Tartans dual record to 12-3.

For the 11th time this season, the Tartans led the match 3-0 following doubles play and then recorded five straight set victories to cruise to the 8-1 victory.  Senior Cze-Ja Tam (Palos Verdes, Calif./Palos Verdes Peninsula) didn't surrender a game, as she won 6-0, 6-0 at fifth singles.
