#4 Tartans Down #26 Denison 7-2

(GRANVILLE, Ohio) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's tennis team, ranked fourth nationally, traveled to Granville, Ohio Saturday, April 14 to play #26 Denison  University.  The Tartans improved to 14-3 with a 7-2 victory over the Big Red while Denison moves to 7-9.

Carnegie Mellon took a 2-1 lead with wins at second and third doubles before senior Laura Chen (Port Washington, N.Y./Paul D. Schreiber) sealed the Tartan victory with a 6-7 (4-7), 6-1, 6-2 decision at second singles over Alex Marcell. The Tartans also picked up wins at first, third, fourth and six singles.
