Tartans Over Power Eagles 8-1

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) - The Carnegie Mellon University women's tennis team, ranked sixth nationally, hosted #26 University of Mary Washington at the Lakevue Athletic Club on Saturday March 26 and came away with an 8-1 victory.  The win improves the Tartans record to 8-3 while the Eagles drop their first dual match of the season and move to 8-1.

Carnegie Mellon jumped out to an early 3-0 lead following doubles before claiming victories at No. 2 through No. 6 singles.

The Tartans will return to action on March 30 when they face Washington and Lee University at 12:30 p.m. in Lexington, Va.
