No. 8 Tartans to Play in the NCAA Tournament

(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's tennis team will compete for the 2014 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championship as they travel to The University of Chicago for the regional event on May 8-10. The team enters the championship ranked eighth in the nation, earning its tenth consecutive bid to the tournament. 

The Tartans (17-4) will play the winner of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association champion Hope College (16-5) and the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin champion Wheaton College (15-5) on Friday, May 9.

The regional championship will conclude on Saturday with the winners of the eight regionals to play for the national championship on Monday, May 19 through Wednesday, May 21 in Claremont, California.
