Pratt Selected for NCAA Tennis Singles Tournament

(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.) - Carnegie Mellon University junior Angela Pratt (Saratoga, Calif./St. Francis) has been selected to compete at the 2014 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Singles and Doubles Championships when the field were announced yesterday by the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Committee.

Pratt, the Tartans No. 1 singles player, will play for the singles championship after finishing her regular season with a record of 13-9.

As a singles player, Pratt has helped the Tartans to a record of 17-4 this season.

This will also mark Pratt's second trip to the individual championships but first as a singles player.

Listed as alternates in the doubles field is the Tartans No. 1 pair of junior Bryn Raschke (Del Mar, Calif./Torrey Pines) and freshman Vanessa Pavia (Thornwood, N.Y./Academy of our Lady of Good Counsel).

The championships are set to take place May 22 through May 24 at the Biszantz Family Tennis Center in Claremont, California hosted by Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges.
