Sidell and Ollis Conclude Season at NCAA Individual Championships

(CLAREMONT, Calif.) - Carnegie Mellon University women's tennis senior Cori Sidell (Redwood Shores, Calif. / Carlmont) and sophomore Courtney Ollis (Suffern, N.Y. / Suffern) concluded their seasons Thursday at the 2018 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championships after first round defeats on the courts at Biszantz Family Tennis Center in Claremont, California.

Sidell, who was invited to the championships for the second time as a singles player, dropped her round of 32 match to Lauren O'Malley of John Carroll University, 6-3, 6-4. Later in the day Sidell paired with Ollis in the round of 16 of the doubles competition. They drew Julia Cancio and Juli Raventos of Williams College and fell, 6-0, 6-1. It was the third year Sidell played doubles on the national stage while Ollis competed for the first time.

Sidell closed her career with a combined record of 130-86 to go with two All-America honors earned in doubles competition as a freshman and sophomore. Her 130 wins is the eighth most in school history. She is also eighth in singles wins (63) and doubles wins (67).
