Ollis, Rao, Taylor Selected to ITA All-American Team

(TEMPE, Ariz.) – Senior Courtney Ollis (Suffern, N.Y. / Suffern), senior Vinaya Rao (Vernon Hills, Ill. / Adlai E. Stevenson) and sophomore Danna Taylor (Orlando, Fla. / Circle Christian School) of the Carnegie Mellon University women's tennis team have been selected as 2020 Division III Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Americans.

All-America criteria includes a finish in the top 20 of the final Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Singles Rankings, a finish in the top 10 in the final Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Doubles Rankings, a win at the ITA Fall Regional Tournament, or a first-round win at the ITA Nation Small College Championships (ITA Cup). Taylor was selected as an All-America in both singles and doubles, while Ollis made the doubles list and Rao the singles list.

Taylor finished with a record of 23-4 and was ranked seventh in the nation in singles play while winning the ITA Southeast Regional Singles Championship for the second consecutive season. The sophomore paired with Ollis to amass a record of 19-6 in doubles play while winning the ITA Southeast Regional Doubles Championship. The combo finished ranked eighth in the national rankings. Taylor's honors mark the third and fourth of her career while Ollis earns the doubles award for the second time in her career. Ollis also closed her career with 103 combined wins with 80 coming in doubles play.

Rao primarily played second singles for the Tartans and finished with a 13-8 mark this season. Her performance against nationally ranked teams included four wins and ranked her 18th nationally at the conclusion of the season. The All-America honor is the first of her career, one that witnessed more than 100 combined wins including 59 that came in singles play.
