(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) - The Carnegie Mellon University women's tennis team, ranked ninth in the nation, topped visiting Franciscan University on Thursday afternoon by a 9-0 score. The Tartans are now 11-4 for the season while the Barons move to 10-11.

Inside the Box Score

  • Senior Danna Taylor and junior Zoe Angell were victorious by an 8-0 score at first doubles.
  • Sophomore Anika Joshi and freshman Ainika Hou also won 8-0 at third doubles.
  • Sophomore Divya Venkatarama and Joshi each won 6-0, 6-0 in singles play with Venkatarama playing second singles and Joshi fourth singles.
  • Both sophmore Anna Chow and Hou surrendered one game in their first set before winning 6-0 in the second.
