Guevel Runs at NCAA Championships

(LA CROSSE, Wis.) - Carnegie Mellon University women's track and field junior Jacqueline Guevel (Dallas, Texas/The Hockaday School) ran at the first day of the 2013 NCAA Outdoor Division III Track and Field Championships on Thursday, May 23.  This year's championships are being hosted by University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

Guevel ran in the preliminary third heat of the 400-meter hurdles and crossed the finish line with a time of 1:03.17 placing fifth in her heat.  Her time was not fast enough to advance her to the finals.

Guevel will continue competition at the championships on Friday as she will run in the trials of the 100-meter hurdles at 5:05 p.m. CT.
