Guevel Competes In 100-Meter Hurdles at NCAA Championships

(LA CROSSE, Wis.) - Carnegie Mellon University women's track and field junior Jacqueline Guevel (Dallas, Texas/The Hockaday School) ran in her second event at the 2013 NCAA Outdoor Division III Track and Field Championships on Friday, May 24.  This year's championships are being hosted by University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

A day after Guevel competed in the preliminaries of the 400-meter hurdles, she ran her third best time of the season in the preliminaries of the 100-meter hurdles.  Her time of 14.70 was not fast enough to advance to the finals.

This marked Guevel's second trip to the NCAA Outdoor Championships. The junior also competed in both the 100-meter and 400-meter hurdles as a freshman.
