Yee Closes Indoor Season at NCAA Championships

(NAPERVILLE, Ill.) - Carnegie Mellon University senior Grace Yee (San Francisco, Calif./Lick-Wilmerding) completed the indoor track and field season at the 2017 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships on Friday, March 10 in Naperville, Illinois. The national meet is being hosted by North Central College.

Yee, who made her first appearance in an NCAA Championship, cleared 3.45 meters in the pole vault to tie for 14th place.

Yee's participation at the national meet this year marks the second time a women's field athlete from Carnegie Mellon has made the championships field, as Jessica Meng competed in the high jump in 2007.

Yee will continue her senior campaign next week when the outdoor season begins for the Tartans at the Washington and Lee University Track and Field Carnival on Friday, March 17.
