Outdoor Track and Field Garners 14 USTFCCCA All-Region Honors
(NEW ORLEANS, La.) – The Carnegie Mellon University men's and women's track and field teams had 14 Mideast All-Region honors awarded to its athletes by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the 2018 outdoor track and field season. Nine represent the women while five represent the men with three receiving multiple honors.
To be named All-Region, an athlete must either be ranked in the top-five of an individual event in the region according to final TFRRS data or be part of a top-three relay team. A total of 743 men and 667 women were selected from the eight regions in NCAA Division III. The organization first began recognizing All-Region award winners in 2016.
