Tartans Compete at Marty Goldberg Gator Invite

(MEADVILLE, Pa.) - The Carnegie Mellon University women's track and field team competed at the Marty Goldberg Gator Invite on Thursday hosted by Allegheny College.

Top Performances:

• Senior Samantha Giordani ran 12.09 in the 100-meter dash and 24.93 in the 200-meter dash to place third.
• The 800-meter run had junior Emily Lannen winning the race with a time of 2:25.69.
• Sophomore Katie Monahan took fifth in the shot put after throwing the element 11.84 meters.
• Senior Ola Owodunni competed in the hammer and placed second with a throw of 46.73 meters.
• Senior Serena Li took fourth in long jump with a mark of 4.96 meters.
• Also competing in the long jump was sophomore Jocelyn Kiefel who recorded a leap of 4.72 meters to place fifth.

• The Tartans will compete at the All-Atlantic Conference Championships on May 17-18.
