Barre Named UAA Field Athlete of the Week

Graduate student Liz Barre of the Carnegie Mellon University women's indoor track and field team was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Athlete of the Week for field events following her performance at the 10th Annual Spartan Holiday Classic at Case Western Reserve University on Saturday.

Barre won the high jump, as she cleared the bar at 1.68 meters which currently ranks top in the nation. She was also part of the 4x400-meter relay team that placed first.

The Tartans will compete again at the Spire Midwest Open on Saturday, January 20.
