Two School Records Set as Tartans Compete at West Virginia Last Chance
(MORGANTOWN, WV.) - Several members of the Carnegie Mellon University women's track and field team competed in the West Virginia University Last Chance Invitational on Saturday.
Inside the field
- Senior Liz Barre broke her own outdoor school record in the high jump clearing the bar at 1.73 meters. Barre's old school record was 1.72 meters set last year.
- Junior Jocelyn Kiefel finished second in the triple jump with a school record mark of 11.38 meters. Kiefel also broke her old school record mark of 11.25 meters set at the UAA Outdoor Championships a week ago.
- Senior JoJo Huczko placed fourth in the pole vault with a mark of 3.47 meters.
- Junior Jolie Wasserman finished fourth with a mark of 31.31 meters in the javelin throw.
- Junior Taylor Symonette finished fifth in the shot put with a mark of 11.44 meters.
Inside the Track
- Senior Isabella Rhee placed eighth in the twilight 800-meter run with a personal-best time of 2:13.94.
