Higgins Honored as Corvias ECAC Libero of the Week

(DANBURY, Conn.) - Sophomore Molly Higgins (Vero Beach, Fla./Vero Beach) of the Carnegie Mellon University volleyball team was named the Corvias ECAC Libero of the Week after leading the Tartans to a 4-0 weekend and tournament championship at the Ithaca College Tournament, October 10-11.

Higgins turned in another solid performance for the Tartans who swept four matches against Ithaca, King's College, Wells College and Utica College. Higgins registered 50 digs for the weekend including 18 in the last match against Utica.

This marks Higgins' second weekly honor as she was named the University Athletic Association Volleyball Defensive Athlete of the Week on September 2 following the Tartans 4-0 season-opening weekend.
