Tartan Volleyball Releases 2020 Roster

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – While the 2020 season has been put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Carnegie Mellon University head volleyball coach Anne Bock, in her second year at the helm of the Tartans, has released the roster for the 2020-2021 academic year.

Below are a few facts about the makeup of the 19-member volleyball team.

Class Years: Seniors (2); Juniors (5); Sophomores (5); Newcomers (7)

Natives Of: Alberta (1); California (2); Illinois (1); Massachusetts (1); New Hampshire (1); New Jersey (2); New York (1); North Carolina (2); Ohio (1); Pennsylvania (4); Puerto Rico (1); Texas (1); Virginia (1)

College of Study: College of Engineering (6); Dietrich College of Humanities and Social Sciences (4); Mellon College of Science (1); School of Computer Science (2); Tepper School of Business (6)

Notes:

  • The Tartans competed in their fourth straight NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championship in 2019.
  • It was their seventh appearance at the national event in program history.
  • Four players were named to the Mid-Atlantic Region team by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) last season with one on the current roster: Vivian Beaudoin
  • Four players were named to the All-UAA Team last season with one on the current roster: Vivian Beaudoin
  • Last season marked the fourth consecutive season that the volleyball team received all-academic team accolades by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) and 12th overall.
