Yan Garners Postseason ECAC Honor

DANBURY, Conn. – Carnegie Mellon University volleyball senior setter Stella Yan was recognized by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC). The senior was received Division III Volleyball All-ECAC Second Team accolades.

Yan, who was a First Team All-University Athletic Association (UAA) selection, led the Tartans with 996 assists which ranked second in the UAA while averaging 9.22 assists per set which ranked third in the association during the regular season. The senior recorded a career-best 60 assists against Thiel College and handed out 50 or more assists in three contests this season. She ended the regular season with 2,299 for her career and ranks seventh all-time in program history. Yan also ranked second on the team with 39 service aces and third on the Tartans with 335 digs. Her 39 aces ranked seventh best in the UAA.

The ECAC (Eastern College Athletic Conference) is an eighty-four-year-old organization with well over 200 member schools across all three NCAA Divisions - I, II and III. The ECAC exists to enhance the experience of student-athletes participating in intercollegiate athletics and provides great value for universities and colleges by sponsoring championships, leagues, bowl games, tournaments and other competitions throughout the Northeast. The ECAC's esports platform is growing and now totals more than sixty colleges and universities and is expanding the geographic footprint for the conference nationally. The ECAC is also sponsoring competitions and leagues involving other varsity and club sports that do not fall under the umbrella of the NCAA.
