Tartans Sweep Action to End Wittenberg Fall Classic

(SPRINGFIELD, Ohio) – The Carnegie Mellon University volleyball team finished a weekend at Wittenberg University with a pair of 3-0 wins on Saturday, October 14. The Tartans opened with a 3-0 win against Wittenberg and concluded with a win by the same score against Marietta College. The Tartans are now 15-6 overall.

  • The Tartans hit .278 with 46 kills.
  • Reichard and senior Avani Seshiah each had 12 kills, as Seshiah hit .526.
  • Lai dished out 38 assists and also led with nine digs.
  • Freshman Zoe Gavros, Reichard, and Chen each had eight digs.
  • Sophomore Bella Woodard and Dean each had one block solo.

Notes

  • The Marietta match marked the second time this season Seshiah hit over .500.
  • Reichard has recorded 12 matches with double-digit kills.
  • The five block assists for Herchenroether was a career-high.
