Tillman Leads Tartans at Duquesne Duals to Open Season
(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's cross country team opened its 2014 season at the Duquesne Duals at Schenley Park Saturday morning, August 30. The Tartans were the only non-Division I team competing in the event.
Pacing the Tartans was junior Zofia Tillman (Westminster, Colo./Standley Lake) who crossed with a time of 19:50. Fellow juniors Erin Persson (San Antonio, Texas/Saint Mary's Hall) and Kira Ragazzo (Frederick, Md./Urbana) were the second and third Tartans to finish with times of 19:56 and 20:50, respectively.
The Tartans will race again on Friday, September 12 at Cooper's Lake Campground for the Slippery Rock Invitational at 5:00 p.m.
