Six Women's Cross Country Runners Garner All-Academic Honor from USTFCCCA

(NEW ORLEANS, La.) – Six members of the Carnegie Mellon University women's cross country team were named to the All-Academic team by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). In addition, the Tartans earned all-academic team accolades sporting a 3.48 cumulative average.

Graduate student Michelle Murray (Greenlawn, N.Y. / Harborfields), seniors Taylor Jacobs (Bozeman, Mont. / The Taft School) and Kristen Seballos (Cleveland, Ohio / Padua Franciscan), sophomore Megan Baker (Exton, Pa. / B. Reed Henderson) along with freshmen Sophia Zalewski (Piedmont, Calif. / Piedmont) and Alyssa Hoffman (Watsontown, Pa. / Warrior Run) were named All-Academic honorees.

The USTFCCCA All-Academic award honors those student-athletes who have succeeded both academically and athletically. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must carry a minimum 3.3 cumulative grade point average and must have finished among the top 25 percent of the field at their respective NCAA regional meet.
