Tartans Compete in Brown Race at Paul Short Invitational, Place Fourth Among Division III Teams

(BETHLEHEM, Pa.) - The Carnegie Mellon University women's cross country team placed 11th overall and fourth among Division III institutions at the Lehigh University Paul Short Invitational on Saturday. The women raced against 43 teams in the brown race in a field of Division I, II and III runners.

Results:

  • The first Tartan to cross the finish line was sophomore Orit Shiang in 33rd in a field of 350 runners with a time of 22:32.1.
  • Freshman Lily Beerhalter was the second Tartan to cross, as she ran the 6k race in 23:12.5.
  • Finishing with a time of 23:18.3 was freshman Maya Ducker.
  • Senior Isabella Rhee crossed in 23:23.3.
  • Rounding out the Tartans' top five was junior Alyssa Hoffman who recorded a time of 23:29.2.
