Three Honored on Men’s Soccer All-UAA Team

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Three Carnegie Mellon University men's soccer players earned All-University Athletic Association (UAA) honors from the league's coaches with senior Jason Edmunds (Libertyville, Ill. / Libertyville) listed on the first team.

Edmunds is joined on the team by sophomore junior Kiran Sarvepalli (Fairfax, Va. / Fairfax) and sophomore William Rabon (Grand Rapids, Mich. / International Academy). Sarvepalli earns his first award and was named to the second team while Rabon, who played his first UAA action this year, was honorable mention.

The first-team honor for Edmunds marks his second All-UAA award, as he was honorable mention in his second season as a Tartan. Edmunds is a team captain and leader of the defense as an attacking outside back who started every game this season.

Sarvepalli is an attacking midfield player who scored one goal this season and assisted on a goal in a 2-1 win against Case Western Reserve University. Rabon is also an attacking midfielder who tallied two goals and two assists this season. Rabon also registered four shots against Washington University and 11 in UAA games.

The Tartans closed the year at home with a win against Case Western Reserve and finished with a 7-6-3 record playing five ranked opponents.
