Tartans Tie Grove City 1-1

(GROVE CITY, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon University men's soccer team traveled north to Grove City College on Wednesday night and tied the Wolverines 1-1. The Tartans are now 3-3-1 on the season with the Wolverines moving to 3-1-2.

• After an intense back-and-forth first period, junior Zach Schonwetter scored unassisted in the 62nd minute of the game.
• Grove City answered back in the 83rd minute of the game with a low center shot after a save by sophomore Kai Yamamoto.
• The Tartans had 17 shots throughout the game, seven in the first half and 10 in the second against Grove City's seven.
• Five of the 17 shots were on goal.
• Freshman Drew McKim had four shots in the game, the most on the team.
