(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) - The Carnegie Mellon University men's soccer team topped Emory University by a 1-0 score on Saturday, October 19 at home for its first University Athletic Association (UAA) win of the season. The Tartans are now 7-4-2 overall and 1-2 in the UAA while the Eagles are 5-6-1 and 2-1.

- Sophomore Kai Yamamoto made four saves in the first half with a defender also making a save to keep the game scoreless at the break.
- The Tartans' goal came in the 50th minute on a left-footed strike at the top of the box by freshman Tristan Gonzalez. Senior Jake Slackman assisted on the play.
- Yamamoto made four saves in the second half to earn the shutout and his second shutout of the season.
- Freshman James Ashby had two shots saved in the second half while freshman Leo Salvucci had a shot stopped by the keeper in the second half.
