#16 Tartans Down Chapman 8-1

(ORANGE, Calif.) – The Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis team started spring break with an 8-1 win over Chapman University in Orange, California, on Saturday, March 10. The #16 Tartans improve to 6-2 on the year while the Panthers are 3-4.

The freshmen doubles tandem of Christian Heaney-Secord (Westwood, Mass./Westwood) and Bryce Beisswanger (Los Angeles, Calif./Viewpoint School) started the Tartans off with an 8-3 victory at third doubles. The Tartans continued the momentum as they swept doubles and then won five straight set victories in singles.
