#16 Tartans Stumble Against #14 Bowdoin

(POMONA, Calif.) – The 16-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis team squared off against #14 Bowdoin in Pomona, California on Monday, March 12 and fell 7-2 to the Polar Bears.  The loss moves the Tartans record to 6-3 while Bowdoin evens its mark at 1-1 in dual play.

The Tartans doubles team of senior Jeremy King (East Meadow, N.Y./Chaminade) and freshman Thomas Cooper (Albuquerque, N.M./Albuquerque Academy) picked up Carnegie Mellon's lone point in doubles play with a 9-8 (2) victory over Kent Winingham and Noah Bragg at second doubles.

Carnegie Mellon freshman Christian Heaney-Secord (Westwood, Mass./Westwood) then won at second singles over Bragg, 7-6(3), 7-5 for the Tartans second point of the match.
