Miller and Duncan Receive Invite to NCAA Individual Men’s Tennis Championships

(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.) – When the NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Committee selected individuals and doubles teams to compete in the 2012 NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Championships, Carnegie Mellon University found two of its athletes on the list.  Junior Duke Miller (Poway, Calif./Poway) was selected to play in the singles competition and will be joined by freshman Will Duncan (Newbury Park, Calif./Newbury Park) to partake in the doubles field.

This marks the first appearance for the tandem.  The duo has a 20-5 doubles mark and have won nine of their last 10 matches.  Miller has a 14-12 mark in singles play entering the championships and played for the ITA Southeast Regional title back in October.

The individual championships shall consist of 32 singles players and 16 doubles teams. The selection of teams and individuals for the championships is based on won-lost record, strength of schedule and eligibility and availability of student-athletes.

The singles and doubles championships will be held May 24-26. The finals will be held at Cary Tennis Park in Cary, North Carolina.
