Tartans Defeat Robert Morris 9-0

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis team, ranked #17 in Division III, topped Division I Robert Morris University 9-0 Sunday, February 19.  The win improves the Tartans dual record to 3-2.  

The Tartans started the match sweeping doubles play.  The tandem of senior Jeremy King (East Meadow, N.Y./Chaminade) and freshman Thomas Cooper (Albuquerque, N.M./Albuquerque Academy) blanked Ricardo Horlle and Jose Limon at second doubles 8-0. Cooper grabbed a second point for the Tartans with a straight set victory at fifth singles when he defeated Horlie 6-2, 6-1.
